Each 1 June, Oris marks its 1904 founding with a Hölstein Edition. For 2026, the brand builds on the new Artelier and adds a quiet grin – a mirrored small seconds and an iridescent Oris Bear engraved on the case back. It is limited to 250 numbered pieces.
The idea is simple and disarming. Take the dressier Artelier, tilt the composition with a mirrored small seconds, and let a playful bear live on the reverse. It reads as a thank you rather than a sales pitch, which suits the watch far better than fireworks would.
The mirrored small seconds is the visual pivot. It draws the eye off axis and gives the dial a moment of levity without breaking character. This is still an Artelier, just one that raises an eyebrow.
Flip it over and the iridescent Oris Bear carries the message home. A private joke for the owner, it keeps the celebration on the wrist, not across the room. Limited numbering to 250 pieces seals the sense of occasion.
As a gesture, the Hölstein Edition tradition works because it stays modest. One-off design, clear intent, and a nod to community. No noise, just a small mechanical poem with a wink.
If you want spectacle, look elsewhere. If you like a well-mannered watch with a sly smile, this Artelier-based edition says happy birthday in a voice you can live with.
