H. Moser & Cie. revisits a single idea and lets it speak three dialects. The new Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds, Streamliner Retrograde Seconds and Endeavour Retrograde Seconds each stage the same 30-second retrograde sweep, then an instant snap back to zero. One gesture, three tempers.
The brand puts the mechanism front and center. A double snail cam drives the hand across its arc in 30 seconds. At the turn, a hairspring beneath the seconds axis releases stored energy in a single breath, the rack keeping the motion precise and orderly. A two-tone disc beneath the cam quietly marks whether you are in the first or second half-minute.
Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds: mechanics laid bare. In a 40 mm steel case water-resistant to 12 ATM, the fully skeletonised HMC 251 calibre shows its layered bridges and wheels in anthracite, set against gold hands and markers. The retrograde bridge, rack and cams become moving architecture. It arrives on a steel bracelet, with a khaki rubber strap included. Power reserve is a minimum of 3 days, with bi-directional pawl winding and an engraved, skeletonised rotor. Super-LumiNova on hands and indices keeps it legible when the lights dim.
Streamliner Retrograde Seconds: movement within movement. The 40 mm steel case and integrated bracelet frame a Midnight Blue fumé dial with the transparent lacquer logo. The retrograde display at 6 contrasts with the case’s soft continuity, a neat counterpoint to the snap of the return. Inside is the HMC 252 calibre with a 30-second retrograde module developed by Agenhor SA, a minimum 3-day reserve and partially skeletonised bridges. Water resistance is 12 ATM.
Endeavour Retrograde Seconds: mechanics with a light touch. Also 40 mm in steel, but pared back, with a Blackor fumé dial and the same discreet transparent logo. The retrograde at 6 adds a measured spark to the calm dial. The HMC 252 ticks within, again with the Agenhor-developed module, a minimum of 3 days of autonomy and bi-directional pawl winding. Water resistance is 3 ATM and it comes on night blue nubuck alligator leather.
Across the trio, the shared vocabulary is clear: 21,600 vph, hacking seconds, Original Straumann® hairspring and Moser double stripes. The differences are where taste lives. The Pioneer speaks in volumes, the Streamliner in curves, the Endeavour in whispers. Choose the cadence you want to live with every 30 seconds.
