Bianchet Tonneau UltraFino Black Ceramic – the Golden Line at SIAR Mexico

Bianchet unveils the Tonneau UltraFino Black Ceramic at SIAR Mexico, a slender flying tourbillon that sets high-tech black ceramic against a measured flash of 18K rose gold. The result is quietly dramatic – a watch that reads sportive yet refined, with intention guiding every line.

The so-called Golden Line is no applique. It is a separate case component, nested beneath the bezel and running the contour of the tonneau to create a fine seam between architectural layers. Long a Bianchet signature in rubber, it appears here in rose gold, surfacing and vanishing with the wrist’s movement. It is an elegant tension – ceramic for performance, gold for warmth – without breaking the case’s visual continuity.

The case and integrated bracelet are black high-tech ceramic with alternating satin-brushed planes and polished bevels. Dimensions are 40 mm wide, 47.5 mm long, and 8.9 mm thick, with 5 ATM water resistance. The watch ships with the ceramic bracelet and an additional black rubber strap, both on a quick-release system that lets the piece move from sculptural to understated in a minute.

Inside is Bianchet’s UT01 automatic flying tourbillon calibre, developed and assembled in-house in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The movement is 3.85 mm thick, built on openworked Grade 5 titanium with black PVD, and shows its logic clearly: a 2.66 mm non-magnetic titanium tourbillon at 6 o’clock, a suspended barrel at 12, and a central 18K rose-gold rotor shaped by Fibonacci geometry.

The rear bridges echo concentric Golden Circles that help distribute forces from the rotor’s inertia, contributing to shock resistance rated up to 5,000 G. Power reserve is 60 hours. Finishing is traditional where it should be, with hand-bevelled skeletonized bridges and more than 30 hours devoted to anglage alone. The rotor’s rosy shimmer threads the gold accent from case to calibre without shouting.

Price is 80,500 CHF before taxes. In a market that often confuses complexity with depth, this UltraFino chooses clarity: a thin, coherent architecture in black ceramic, traced by a line of gold that earns its place.
