Ladybird Colors reaches its jeweled apex with the Diamond Bloom – two moon-phase pieces in white gold and red gold, their dials and cases snow-set to form a seamless surface of light.
The dial is nacre perlée with subtle green and pink reflections – a Ladybird Colors signature – and it carries Blancpain’s familiar moon phase, eyes closed, lashes drawn, beauty mark in place. The crown is topped by a rose-cut diamond, a considerate touch rather than a loud one.
A total of 919 diamonds, 4.794 carats, are distributed across the watch. Snow-setting avoids a rigid grid, letting stones of varied sizes settle like fresh powder, which suits the round architecture and softens the shine.
The case measures 34.90 mm in diameter and 10.43 mm in thickness. On the wrist, those numbers promise presence without swagger – an elegant frame for light to play across.
Inside, the automatic calibre 1163L offers a 100-hour power reserve. Long autonomy in a jewel-forward watch is not a boast, it is practical grace, keeping the moon serene through long weekends.
Produced in very limited quantities, the Diamond Bloom reads as craft first, spectacle second. Some will find the sparkle abundant. Fair. Yet the intention is clear – gem-setting and watchmaking speaking the same quiet language.
