MAURON MUSY’s new MU09 NODE series is the brand at its most coherent yet – a 41 mm Grade 5 titanium watch built around its nO-Ring® gasket-free sealing, now joined by a first manufacture movement and a first integrated bracelet. It reads like a considered summation rather than a stunt, which suits the house’s engineering-led temperament.
The case refines the marque’s bolted architecture into a slimmer, more fluid profile at 12.8 mm, while keeping the 20 ATM rating that once needed gaskets but here does not. Function still dictates form, though the lines have softened just enough to feel intentional rather than austere.
Inside, the new Calibre MM03 is a micro-rotor automatic developed in-house. It runs at 28,800 vph, carries a four-day power reserve from a ball-bearing tungsten micro-rotor, and measures 5.5 mm thick. A free-sprung balance with inertia screws sits under a bold balance bridge at 9 o’clock, visible through a semi-open dial. Thirty-two large-jewel bearings in chatons hint at an almost overbuilt approach – not showy, simply robust.
Finishing is described as hand-executed wherever surfaces allow. The language is more workshop than showroom, which is where MAURON MUSY tends to be most persuasive. The dial architecture is graphic but legible, the mechanics allowed to speak without shouting.
The integrated bracelet is a first for the brand and the right companion here. Machined in Grade 5 titanium, it continues the case geometry with light-catching bevels, brushed planes, and small polished hexagonal details at the link junctions. A butterfly clasp closes with calm precision. A rubber strap with folding clasp is included for a change of posture without drama.
NODE feels like an arrival point: case sealing solved mechanically, movement authored in-house, bracelet integrated rather than appended. MAURON MUSY has long prized coherence over spectacle. With MU09 NODE, that principle finally wears a single suit of clothes.
