At Watches and Wonders, Frederique Constant presents three new takes on its Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, anchored by the in-house FC-719 and a clear intent to travel with grace, not fuss.
The headline is simplicity of use. All 24 time zones are set from a single crown, a practical choice that keeps the case clean and the wearer unflustered at passport control.
The first rendition leans maritime, with a blue gradient dial where textured raised continents float above darker oceans. It is paired with a navy alligator strap fitted with a quick release system, so a change of mood takes seconds rather than tools.
The second keeps the palette deep and steady. A 40 mm polished steel case frames a navy blue dial, while a new five link bracelet supplies a touch of quiet sparkle. The FC-719 delivers a 72 hour power reserve, useful when the weekend stretches longer than expected.
For those who like light to play across the bezel, a limited edition of 88 pieces sets 70 diamonds around the case, with diamond hour markers to match. Each piece is individually engraved and delivered with two alligator straps. The complication remains the same, the character decidedly more formal.
Across the trio the intention is consistent. Useful complication first, ornament second. The worldtime display stays legible, the cases avoid theatrics, and the mechanics aim for autonomy rather than spectacle. It is a travel watch for people who actually travel.
Frederique Constant has iterated this cornerstone since 2012. This generation does not shout about change. It refines the idea and leaves the noise to airport announcements.
