Jaeger-LeCoultre presents two complementary visions of its feminine classic: the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day in platinum, limited to 10 pieces, and the pared-back Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute in steel or pink gold. Same family, different temperaments – one a miniature theatre of light and lacquer, the other a quiet daily companion.
The Jewellery Night & Day brings a 34 mm platinum 950 case and a dial that feels almost alive. A hand-painted Asian Paradise Flycatcher rests among Korean Dogwood blossom, executed in lacquer on a transparent sapphire dial. Beneath, a 24-hour disc paints the cycle from sun to moon – a lyrical reading of day and night that divides the dial into shifting scenes.
The familiar Floral numerals arc in a crescent, framed by an oval ring of grain-set diamonds. The bezel carries 48 baguette-cut diamonds, with brilliant-cut stones on the case sides and lugs, and a reverse-set diamond in the crown. Inside beats the self-winding Calibre 733, visible through a sapphire back, with a 22-carat gold rotor. A blue alligator strap with JLC’s quick-change system completes the piece. Production is set at 10 watches.
The new 29 mm Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute edits the codes to essentials. A convex, polished bezel, a closed back engraved with a stylised sun, and a dial built as concentric circles: sunray guilloché, Floral numerals, discreet diamonds as hour markers on the outer ring, and a deeply textured inner border. It shows only hours and minutes – nothing superfluous.
In pink gold, hands and numerals match the warm dial tone, paired with a taupe alligator strap using the interchangeability system. The steel model contrasts blue hands with a snow-white dial and debuts a supple lozenge-link metal bracelet for the Rendez-Vous collection, designed to drape softly and equipped for quick changes.
