MB&F crosses the Atlantic with a permanent New York address and a small, sharp celebration of mechanics. The new LM101 EVO NYC is a 25-piece limited edition in 18K rose gold with a black PVD-treated, sunray-brushed dial plate, available exclusively through the brand’s Manhattan Lounge.
The LM101 has held a quiet center in MB&F’s universe since 2014. It distills the essentials – the flying balance wheel as protagonist, the time display, and a power reserve – set within a resolutely three-dimensional movement. It was also the first calibre conceived entirely by MB&F’s in-house engineering team, with Kari Voutilainen providing input on design and finishing specifications.
To mark the company’s 20th anniversary last year, MB&F introduced the LM101 EVO in titanium as a sportier evolution. That brought 80 metres of water resistance, a screw-down crown, an ergonomic case with integrated rubber strap, Super-LumiNova on the displays, a 60-hour power reserve, and the patented FlexRing shock absorber.
The new NYC Edition keeps that active architecture and dresses it for the city. Rose gold warms the case, while the black, sunray-brushed dial plate sharpens contrast with the signature flying balance and floating subdials. It is restrained yet unmistakably MB&F, a watch that lets the mechanics speak without shouting.
Pricing is set at CHF 77,000 + VAT or US$ 105,000 + tax. Only 25 pieces will be made, and they will live at the source.
That source is the MB&F Lounge New York, on the 5th floor of the historic Fuller Building, 595 Madison Avenue, overlooking 57th Street. Not a traditional point of sale, but a place to welcome enthusiasts, discover creations at a gentler pace, and spend time with mechanical art. Designed with Voltige Design & Architecture, the space includes a living room area, presentation spaces, an office, and a dedicated meeting room.
