‘Sowind Group earns Switzerland’s Best Managed Companies recognition for 2026’

Sowind Group – parent to Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin – has been named one of Switzerland’s Best Managed Companies 2026 by Deloitte Private, marking a third consecutive year on the list. The Group first earned the distinction in 2024 as the first company in Switzerland’s luxury industry to do so, and has repeated in 2025 and now 2026.

Patrick Pruniaux, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sowind Group, called the recognition a validation of an agile and resilient business model driven by long-term focus and a shared entrepreneurial mindset across the company. In his words, everyone is encouraged to look beyond immediate responsibilities and take initiative – a quiet culture of ownership rather than noise.

Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies program evaluates leading private firms on strategy, management quality, innovation, and corporate culture. The Swiss program draws on more than 30 years of global best practices. Awards are not a measure of bevels and black polish, but they do suggest a house where decisions are made with care and followed through.

From La Chaux-de-Fonds to Le Locle’s orbit, Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin sit in the Swiss Jura with more than four centuries of combined watchmaking history. Around 400 artisans and experts keep the benches warm, preserving regional know-how while building contemporary timepieces with high horological content. The Laureato and the Freak may grab the headlines, yet it is the daily cadence of trained hands that sustains them.

The takeaway is simple. Stability matters. In a market fond of short cycles, the Group’s steady governance provides the quiet conditions in which true watchmaking can breathe. Less spectacle, more intention – exactly what collectors tend to reward over time.
