Bianchet welcomes Nicolai Budkov Kjaer as brand ambassador

Bianchet has named Norwegian tennis talent Nicolai Budkov Kjaer as its new global ambassador – a 19-year-old who has already worn a flying tourbillon on court at the Madrid Masters. It is a partnership that favors proof over posture.

Kjaer’s rise has been brisk: Wimbledon junior singles champion in 2024, four ATP Challenger titles since, and a career-high ranking of 132. In April 2026 he qualified for the Madrid Open Masters 1000 and beat 31st seed Denis Shapovalov to reach the third round – a tidy way to introduce oneself to the wider tennis public.

The watches tell the brief cleanly. Off court he wears the Rotondo UltraFino in Grade 5 titanium, Bianchet’s round-case debut from Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026. Its open-worked automatic flying tourbillon is dressed with hand-bevelled bridges and an 18-carat rose gold rotor, yet the case keeps 10 ATM water resistance and 5000 G shock resistance. Elegance is backed by engineering.

On court he switches to the Tonneau UltraFino in high-density carbon – same ultra-thin 8.9 mm profile, same automatic flying tourbillon, lighter at 46 grams, and rated to 5000 G with 50 meter water resistance. The carbon’s deep grain wears its purpose openly. More importantly, the watch is used in competition, not just in campaign images.

The technical note that matters: pairing a flying tourbillon with automatic winding adds rotor inertia to the shock equation. Bianchet’s architecture claims 5000 G resistance while preserving haute horlogerie finishing. Kjaer’s Madrid run offered the kind of field test marketing departments cannot simulate – every serve, every change of direction, and the watch kept its poise.

There is also a shared family thread. Kjaer’s path has been closely supported by his parents and sister. Bianchet itself is a family-led maison founded by Rodolfo and Emmanuelle Festa Bianchet, now joined by their three sons. The fit feels natural – performance with manners.
