There is a moment when time decides to take a break, stretch its legs, and reshape itself like a yoga master. That is precisely when Polyhedron makes its grand debut! Exaequo Melting Watch, known for its quirky timepieces, has introduced this new creation where Surrealism shakes hands with geometry and vision.
Unveiled at the Time to Watches event in Geneva 2025, this limited edition marvel is more than just a watch – it is a perceptual experiment. Polyhedron is like a journey through the ever-changing shapes of time, brought to life by Designer and Co-CEO Italo Fontana.
Polyhedron, derived from its name – a symbol with many faces, reflects the complexities of human emotions and perceptions. Crafted from solid 925 sterling silver, the Polyhedron is a veritable sculpture featuring 62 surfaces within a 55 mm by 35 mm case. Underneath the mineral glass, three dial variations play their part in the narrative of 101 lives, marking the 101st anniversary of the Surrealist Manifesto.
Ticking away inside this quirky contraption is the Ronda 751.1 movement, offering hours and minutes in a simple yet profound dance. Rounding off the design, the Polyhedron boasts a handcrafted Italian leather strap and a 925 silver pin buckle, which mimic the melting theme in their sinuous curves. The solid silver caseback provides water resistance up to 30 meters, so avoid swimming with it unless you plan to become a time-mermaid.
The Polyhedron is more than a watch; it is an art piece, a collector’s item, and a statement. Exaequo Melting Watch, once again, adds another layer to its Contemporary Surrealism journey, fusing art with mechanics.
