Bianchet has named Flavio Cobolli as brand ambassador, and the Roman player has already carried the UltraFino tourbillon from Melbourne to Paris – most recently into the Roland-Garros final.
Since January, the watch has been on his wrist across Melbourne, Acapulco, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Munich, and Paris. At Monte-Carlo, Cobolli wore the UltraFino Monaco in white quartz fibre; at Roland-Garros, he faced Zverev with the UltraFino Tonneau in high-density carbon. Performance and style, sharing a court rather than competing for it.
The technical headline is not subtle: both models are engineered to withstand shocks up to 5,000 G and remain water resistant to 5 ATM. The Tonneau is an automatic flying tourbillon in carbon, 8.9 mm thick and 46 grams including strap, with a suspended barrel and gold rotor guarded by an anti-shock architecture. The Monaco limited edition uses a white quartz fibre composite – ultra-pure silica and natural quartz – with a 9.8 mm profile and 44 grams on the wrist.
Choosing an automatic tourbillon for sport is the difficult path. A rotor adds inertia and variables under impact; few attempt it, fewer publish the number. Here the UT01 calibre does the heavy lifting, while finishing remains hand executed. The court is an unforgiving laboratory.
The pairing carries an Italian thread. Cobolli, born in Florence and raised in Rome, now world No. 10, brings power with clean lines. Bianchet, founded in Neuchâtel by Rodolfo and Emmanuelle Festa Bianchet, traces its proportions to the Golden Ratio. The family’s Italian roots and the player’s Roman resolve make an unforced connection.
The 2026 arc is clear: a third ATP title in Acapulco, a Munich final, then a first Grand Slam final in Paris after outlasting Felix Auger-Aliassime in four sets. He was also part of Italy’s 2025 Davis Cup triumph, saving seven match points in the semi-final before helping seal the final.
Bianchet’s direction is equally plain. Beyond the UltraFino Tonneau and Monaco, the Maison debuted at Watches and Wonders Geneva in April 2026 with the UltraFino Rotondo and presented the UltraFino Maserati, a 100-piece limited edition. Craft first, materials in service of intent, and a tourbillon that prefers clay to cushions. A nice change of surface.
