Favre Leuba expands the Deep Raider Day Date with a two-tone take that keeps the tool intact and adds a measured glint. The 40mm stainless steel case, FLD05 self-winding movement, and everyday brief remain. Gold PVD now highlights the ceramic bezel, crown, and bracelet center links.
Three dials set the mood. Blue and green are sunray-brushed and vignette toward the edge, shifting with light. The black dial stays solid and sober. A bilingual day-date at 3 o’clock underscores the watch’s daily purpose without clutter.
The case is 12.59mm thick with a 48.2mm lug-to-lug and 300m water resistance. A double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating caps the dial. The unidirectional ceramic bezel carries a luminous 12 o’clock marker. The integrated three-link bracelet pairs brushed and polished steel outers with gold PVD centers, closes with a butterfly clasp, and can be swapped tool-free in seconds.
Inside, the FLD05 runs at 4 Hz with about 38 hours of reserve, based on the Sellita SW-220-1. It integrates day and date and favors reliability over theatrics, which is as it should be in a daily diver.
Legibility is treated thoughtfully. Cut-out indexes reveal a base plate filled with Super-LumiNova C1 X1. Gold PVD hands are lume-filled and glow blue, with additional applied indicators aiding orientation when the sun goes quiet.
Two-tone can shout. Here it nods. The accents lift the Deep Raider Day Date without gilding the mission. Practical, bilingual, and 300m sure-footed, it feels aligned with a maison founded in 1737 and now in a declared renaissance. No need to shout to be seen underwater.
