Get ready for a splash of color with Favre Leuba‘s latest Sea Sky Revival update, which now sports a bold, green dial. The previous versions in black, brown, and blue certainly turned heads in 2024, but this vibrant green brings a whole new level of pizazz to the collection. It’s the watch that says, “I’m both classic and fresh” while effortlessly balancing heritage and modern style.
The watch’s radiant sunray finish and black sub-dials give the dial a dynamic look, creating an eye-catching contrast. With neo-vintage appeal, the dial features arrow-style hands and retro-inspired hour markers, all perfectly illuminated by Super-LumiNova® for readability no matter the lighting conditions. A telemeter and tachymeter scale circling the dial nod to the watch’s dual emphasis on style and functionality.
The 40mm stainless steel case is a robust design choice, including a unidirectional bezel with countdown markers and knurled edges for easy handling. The ceramic bezel’s glossy finish artfully juxtaposes the case’s brushed and polished accents, a combination that whispers sophistication while shouting capability with a 100-meter water resistance.
Powering the Sea Sky Revival is the self-winding caliber FLC01 from La Joux-Perret, customized for Favre Leuba. This little engine runs smoothly thanks to a column-wheel mechanism that makes pushing the chronograph buttons feel like flicking through a velvet catalog – smooth and satisfying. Its 60-hour power reserve is just icing on the horological cake.
The exhibition caseback is like having a VIP ticket backstage, revealing the movement’s opulent details, including the skeletonized 4N gold rotor, blued screws, and gorgeous finishing. The rotor, a blend of function and flair, also features the Favre Leuba monogram alongside the proud words “Swiss Made Since 1737.” And if you need to switch gears, the strap is fitted with an easy-interchange system – a boon for those who like their accessories as adaptable as their wardrobes.
