A Venetian Kaleidoscope: Venezianico Redentore Arlecchino

‘A Venetian Kaleidoscope: Venezianico Redentore Arlecchino’

The Redentore Arlecchino is Venezianico’s most vivid bow to the Venice Carnival yet, a 38 mm limited edition of 400 pieces whose dial turns Harlequin’s geometry into horology.

The idea is simple and disciplined: a three dimensional base is engraved into a lattice of cells, each hand filled with cold enamel. Silver toned polished profiles trace every lozenge, keeping color in check while allowing light to play. The result reads like a contemporary mosaic that remains perfectly legible, not an easy trick when the palette is this lively.

The 316L steel case measures 38 mm by 9.4 mm with a 44.2 mm lug to lug. Satin brushed and polished surfaces set a calm frame under an anti reflective sapphire crystal. Dauphine hands keep their edge against the chromatic field, which is the whole point. Let the dial sing, but keep time clear.

Inside beats the Miyota 9039, automatic, three hand, no date. A sensible choice that prioritizes slimness and steadiness over theatrics. Carnival on the front, quiet competence within.

The caseback continues the theme: an engraved Arlecchino, again hand finished with cold enamel in the same geometry, turns the reverse into part of the story. An Italian inscription captures the spirit, where cunning and color make order from chaos. A small smile for the owner each time the watch is set down.

On the wrist, proportion is the ally. At 38 mm the Redentore architecture wears comfortably, the handcrafted saffiano leather strap adding texture without competing with the dial. This is design by restraint, even when the colors are many.

What matters here is intention. Venezianico channels a centuries old icon through precise geometry and measured craft, avoiding excess while celebrating spectacle. If Arlecchino is a lesson in agility and wit, this watch follows suit, meeting the eye first, then the mind.
