Hautlence unveils the Sphere Series 5, a 28-piece edition that recasts its three-dimensional jumping-hour sphere in pure white and pairs it with a 180-degree retrograde minutes display. It debuts at SIAR in Mexico City with a market-exclusive presentation for the first 30 days.
The Snow White sphere is more sculpture than digit wheel. Machined in Grade 5 titanium with engraved numerals filled with grey Super-LumiNova, it rotates on three axes via four conical gears set on two crossed axes inclined at 21 degrees. Each hour is not pointed to but revealed, a small theater of mechanics.
The open architecture keeps the choreography legible. A skeletonised, rhodium-plated base dial and a sapphire intermediate dial with applied minute numerals frame the motion, while a micro-blasted minute hand with grey Super-LumiNova traces the 180-degree scale.
Inside is the hand-wound calibre A82, designed and assembled in the brand’s workshops. It offers a minimum 72-hour power reserve, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and counts 160 components with 31 jewels. The movement sits in the hallmark rectangular titanium case measuring 37.0 x 45.0 x 17.4 mm, or 11.5 mm without the sapphire crystal, with water resistance to 10 ATM.
The case alternates satin and polished surfaces, capped by an extra-hard sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and bevelling. A sapphire back is engraved with Hautlence, 10 ATM, and Suisse, keeping the view honest and the message clear.
A white suede strap on a titanium folding clasp extends the monochrome idea. In Mexico, early buyers receive a dedicated box with three suede straps in green, white, and red, a nod to the host country. After the 30-day window, all other deliveries come on the single white strap.
